Cowichan Family Life in Duncan provides affordable peer counselling services and  community groups,  early learning and literacy for kids 0-5 and their families, and programs to support school aged children in their social and emotional development and well-being.

Hospice Services – Duncan

  • Our extensive library of books and videos is available during our office hours.

Community Options Society – Duncan

This service offers support to parents and youth. Counselling and groups address a wide array of wellness needs.

Cowichan Independent Living – Duncan

Cowichan Independent Living will assist anyone who self discloses they have a disability.

  • They will advocate on behalf of persons living with a disability and at the same time, teach consumers the skills necessary to advocate for themselves.
  • They promote the Independent Living Movement and Model to improve the daily lives for persons living with a disability.
  • They network with all levels of government and the community in a learning environment to ensure that the needs of persons living with disabilities are being met.
  • They deliver programs and services that are responsive to the needs of consumers based solidly on the principles of Independent Living.

Citizen’s Counselling Centre – Victoria

The Greater Victoria Citizens’ Counselling Centre offers affordable, accessible counselling to adult residents of Greater Victoria. All counselling is offered by volunteer counsellors trained and supervised by the Centre. They  have a sliding fee scale based on family income.

They offer individual counselling, couples counselling, and group counselling. Their groups run three times each year (Fall, Winter and Spring) and include self esteem groups, anger management groups, and groups with a focus on stress, anxiety and depression.

 The Vancouver Island Men’s Trauma Centre – Victoria

The Men’s Trauma Centre is a non-profit society based in Victoria, B.C. Canada. The Men’s Trauma Centre exists to provide treatment and support services to adult and late adolescent males who are survivors of physical, emotional or sexual trauma as well as support for our clients’ significant others.

Meditation Classes at VIU – Duncan

These classes teach Buddhist Meditation for “reflection and personal development.” The first month is free, then it is 12$ a month.
